I recently spent weeks building what I ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ๐ต would be a straightforward twoโway GoogleโฏCalendar sync for a recurring event. Iโd done plenty of Calendar automations before, so how hard could it be? Wellโฆ cue the midnight surprise: a subtle mismatch in how the two platforms handle recurrence rules triggered an ๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐โ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐น๐ผ๐ผ๐ฝ.
I woke up to hundreds of duplicate invites (thankfully in a test calendar) but still a solid reminder that โsimpleโ isnโt always simple.
